Communication in which information is only transmitted from one point to another or to many points simultaneously. There isno reception of information at the transmitting point and no transmission of information from a receiving point. One-waycommunication is used to transmit current information (for example, at press agencies and the weather service) andaccurate time and frequency signals, as well as for radio and television broadcasting. In one-way communication, as in two-way communication, the sender and recipient of the information may be not only people but also computers or automaticdevices.
